CSRO's 2022 August CGT3/4 Round #3 Recap...

Last weekend the Caribbean GT3/4 Championship visited Fuji Speedway for its third rendition of the series. The event was tantalizingly exciting as we saw many battles around the 5.148 Km/h circuit.


GT3 Qualifying

Qualifying in GT3 saw Guyanese Oswyne Wilson take pole position as he blasted his way to a 1:36.583 in his Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo. Some .116 of a second behind was Guyanese John Greene with a 1:36.699 in his Bentley Continental GT3. In third saw the South African, Morné Du Plooy with a 1:37.171 to be some .472 seconds behind John Greene in his Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo. Fourth was Jamaican Michen Wallace in the McLaren 720s with a 1:37.793 top be .622 of a second behind Du Plooy. To round up the top five was another Jamaican, Nathan Bryan in his Bentley Continental GT3 with a time of 1:37.868 to land him closely behind Wallace within a .075 of a second. GT4 Qualifying

Another small turnout for the GT4 classification saw only three competitors qualifying for the event. It was a newcomer, Jamaican Michael McNamee who took to the top of the timing sheet with a time of 1:46.014 in his Alpine A110 GT4. Following closely behind was Jevaughan Edie in his Mercedes AMG GT4 with a time of 1:47.305 to sit some 1.291 seconds behind McNamee. Third saw Joshua Brady in his Audi R8 LMS GT4 with a time of 1:47.692 to be some .401 of a second behind Edie.
