Tonight, we close off what turned out to be the most challenging series even for the swift. With talks of balancing the cars at the behest of some of the fastest guys on the grid, there will be even more of a challenge as we take the GT3/4 Championship to Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst!
Mount Panorama is a 6.213 Km (3.861 mi) long, 23 turns street circuit located in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia. The track has an unusual design by modern standards, with a 174 m (571 ft) vertical difference between its highest and lowest points, and grades as steep as 1:6.13. From the start-finish line, the track can be viewed in three sections; the short pit straight and then a tight left turn into the long, steep Mountain straight; the tight, narrow section across the top of the mountain itself; and then the long, downhill section of Conrod Straight, with the very fast Chase and the turn back onto the pit straight to complete the lap. The circuit was opened on 17 March 1938 and is an FIA Grade 3 venue. It currently hosts the Supercars Bathurst 1000, Intercontinental GT Challenge and GT World Challenge Australia as some of its events and its track record is 1:59.291 by Christopher Mies in his Audi R8 LMS GT3 set back in 2018.

At the end of the Free Practice Session, the following times were acquired by competitors in both classes:
Jamaican Kurt Moss made a return to the class in his Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo with a 2:05.230 up and around the Mountain. He managed to complete a total of 49 laps while attaining a top speed of 287.04 Km/h. Following behind was Guyanese John Greene in his Bentley Continental GT3 with a time of 2:05.584, some .354 of a second behind Kurt Moss and did that within 20 laps while attaining a top speed of 292.39 Km/h. In third was Guyanese Oswyne Wilson in his Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo with a time of 2:07.665 to place him some 1.621 seconds behind his countryman John Greene. He managed to complete a total of 11 laps only and attained a top speed of 285.74 Km/h. In fourth position was South African Morné Du Plooy in his Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo with a time of 2:07.665 that seated him some .460 of a second behind Oswyne Wilson. Morné managed to attain this within just 15 laps at a top speed of 281.95 Km/h. Rounding up the top five in GT3 was Jamaican Kayle-Vaden Roper in his Audi R8 LMS Evo with a time of 2:09.525 to sit him some 1.860 seconds behind the Morné. He managed 17 laps while attaining a top speed of 274.74 Km/h.
In GT4 we saw the return of Guyanese Raul Partab in his Alpine A110 GT4 car on the timing sheets and topped it as well. He managed a time of 2:16.818 and did the most laps of both classes at 50 while attaining a top speed of 257.39 Km/h. Following in the second position was Jamaican Jayden Harrison in his Aston Martin Vantage GT4 car with a time of 2:17.497 to sit some .679 of a second to Raul Partab. He managed to lay down 45 laps while attaining a top speed of 260.48 Km/h. In the third position was Jamaican Michael McNamee in his Alpine A110 GT4 car with a total time of 2:19.810 to sit some 2.313 seconds behind his countryman Jayden Harrison. He managed to attain 14 laps at a top speed of 258.11 Km/h. Another Jamaican, Joshua Brady was back on the grid with his Audi R8 LMS GT4 car with a total time of 2:20.265 to sit him in fourth position some .455 of a second behind his countryman Michael McNamee. He managed to attain that time in 48 laps at a top speed of 252.18 Km/h. And to round up the top five in GT4 was Jamaican Jevaughan Edie in his Mercedes AMG GT4 with a total time of 2:25.732. He sat some 5.467 seconds behind Joshua Brady while completing a total of 23 laps at 256.85 Km/h.
