Earlier today the Caribbean SIM-Racing Organisation unveiled their newly developed website to its competitors. Still in a beta (testing) phase the restructuring from the ground up was spearheaded by founder Stefan Gajie and team; Ridwan Azeez and Christian Rajnauth. Speaking on the subject Mr. Gajie mentioned some of the features implemented in the new development and some of the features planned for the near future;

"Our aim was to create a base not only for our competitors but also persons who have a vested interest in what we are doing here. With this new site we have now added a News Column which will be regularly updated with all of the major and not so major happenings of the organisation. All in one central place, because as you know, our aim is regional not just based from one country,"

He continued, "Another new feature is the Live Console page where one can visit the site, go to the Live Console page and not only watch a live video feed of the action but have a timing sheet being updated live alongside it as well," "... and of course some of the old features are back like displaying our next event with a neat little count down to signify that and then there is the (site) membership where you're allowed to sign up and own a profile that allows you to engage with other members and also comment in the comments section of news articles and in the coming weeks a forum that is currently in development."

The last new thing to make mention of is the Landing Pages of our various championships/ competitions and its corresponding results pages for the rounds affiliated with those championships/ competitions, "Upon arriving at the Home Page, visitors are greeted with a set of championships or in the future, competitions in a strip situated at the top of the page right after the navigation bar. Clicking on one of these championships/ competitions will take the visitor to the corresponding landing page where they will be greeted with an information section, the schedule of the championship/ competition along with (when a round is completed) a results button of that round that has in-depth information of the Qualifying and Race Sessions. Continuing on you will also see the latest news and videos in relation to that championship and lastly, the compliance signup form used by those interested in joining the competition."

Honorable mentions for the future are the fact that the site will feature Driver Profiles with a Rating System attached for those competitors and their fans to keep track of and the forum where specific conversations can be had at length. Below are mor screenshots of the website.

The CSRO 2022 June Caribbean Single Make Championship kicks off its exhibition tonight with round number one at Fort Grozny. After an intense week of testing the mechanically fixed set-up Porsche 911 GT3 992 Cup car, and getting to know the race course, competitors signed up for the series were seen dropping times and racking up laps as it was announced that this series is sanctioned for use with CSRO's Caribbean SIM-Racing Champion Title.

Top of the leader board was non-other than Trinidadian, Dominic Charles who managed a scorching 1:16.339. Speaking to us earlier in the week he noted that he is here to win it all and is expecting a great fight with the rest of the "aliens" on track. Guyanese John Greene was next in line with a 1:16.441 and was seen on track up to the publishing of this article trying to reclaim the top spot after briefly owning it for some hours during the week. Greene and Charles were actually trading the top spot for most of it with Kurt Moss trailing in third with a 1:17.040. To close off the top five was Jamaican Michael Paisley with a time of 1:17.451 and Guyanese Oswyne Wilson with 1:17.485 who were both seen on track up to press time.

We spoke to Trinidadian Dominic Charles about the upcoming CSRO Caribbean Single Make Championship and here is what he had to say...

Stefan Gajie: Dominic, you've come into CSRO more so as fresh meat to those already settled in and already made your name known, tell us what you expect in the Caribbean Single Make Championship?

Dominic Charles: Well, going into this championship I'm naturally hoping for the win since my pace has been improving a bit, though at the end of it all I really just want to walk away with some fun battles and good clean racing.

Stefan Gajie: So far, you've had some intense battles since joining the Caribbean SIM-Racing Organisation back in February of this year, who do you see as immediate threats to your championship charge?

Dominic Charles: I'm really looking forward to battling with Tommi, Nathan and Kurt as they've really been on the ball recently.

Stefan Gajie: Within this championship series you're being allowed, for the first time, to join a team or create your own, we saw that you've chosen the latter, tell us a bit about that. Dominic Charles: I'm excited to join with my own team - Calypso Racing - to bring more of my fellow countrymen to this series.

Stefan Gajie: CSRO has announced the arrival of their coveted Caribbean SIM-Racing Champion Title, tell us your thoughts on this;

Dominic Charles: The Caribbean SIM-Racing Champion title? I will be fighting for it. I've battled aliens in the past and I expect this to be no different. But it would be nice to take the title and inspire those around me to up their game. My end goal in all of this is to raise the level of driving in our region.

END

The charge for the CSRO Caribbean Single Make championship begins tonight at 6 pm Jamaican Time/ 7 pm Eastern Caribbean Time (time zone -4UTC).
